Urban Biodiversity Enhancement & Restoration (UBER) Group at Haliburton Watershed

Dedicated to enhancing and restoring biodiversity in urban environments.

We strive to protect and enhance the neighbourhood in which we live.

Amalgamated Conservation Society

The Amalgamated Conservation Society

The society serves fresh water and salt water anglers and has ten member clubs in British Columbia and members from across Canada. Since March 26th, 1954.

Friends of Blenkinsop Creek

Caring for Blenkinsop Creek

A grass roots stewardship group recently formed to care and advocate for Blenkinsop Creek, which flows both above and underground from Blenkinsop Lake to Swan Lake.

Blenkinsop Valley Community Association

Caring for community in the Blenkinsop Valley

Provides input on all community matters in the Blenkinsop Valley including agriculture, land uses, transportation, environmental issues, heritage and culture.

Salmon in the City

Volunteers helping to conserve salmon.

Volunteers who count the incoming spawning Coho in the Colquitz River. From the first week of October until December, we attend the fish counting fence daily.

Friends of Cuthbert Holmes Park

Caring about the ecological health of the park.

The Friends of Cuthbert Holmes is a non-profit organization comprised of people who care about the ecological health of the park. It is not currently an incorporated society.

Esquimalt Anglers

The ‘shack’ (clubhouse) is open everyday.

As a result of the salmon enhancement activities of the Esquimalt Anglers there has been a significant improvement in sport fishing in the Victoria area waters. Formed in 1952.

Lower Gabo Creek

Enhancing the ecological integrity of lower Gabo Creek

An informal group that works to raise awareness about little-recognized but significant Gabo Creek and its tributaries between Rithets Bog and Colquitz River.

Gorge Tillicum Community Association

To further the interests of the ratepayers and residents in the district.

Promotes a healthy, vibrant community by addressing issues such as the environment, transportation, land use, and social wellness.

Goward Springs Watershed Stewards

Working in the Goward Springs Watershed.

We are the Goward Springs Watershed Stewards, a grass roots conservation group working in the Goward Springs Watershed. Our motto is restoration for Fish and Forests.

Habitat Acquisition Trust

Habitat Acquisition Trust (HAT)

Habitat Acquisition Trust (HAT) helps people understand and care for natural environments in the Capital region. We are a non-profit, local land trust. We work to protect ecosystems and habitat permanently.

Haig-Brown Fly Fishing Association

To promote the sport of fly fishing and the conservation of fish.

The Haig-Brown Fly Fishing Association promotes the sport of fly fishing and the conservation of fish through a membership which abides by the laws of the land.

Mount View Colquitz Community Association

We further the interests of residents, property owners and business owners.

MVCCA is a not for profit society, registered under the Societies Act. It is governed by an executive board of 7-10 members, half of which are elected at each Annual General Meeting.

We are a non-profit environmental organization committed to environmental education and stewardship, stream and riparian restoration and habitat conservation. From Headwaters to Deep waters.

Quadra Cedar Hill Community Association

We strive to protect and enhance the neighbourhood in which we live.

The QCHCA philosophy is based on grass roots activism. We seek input and consensus from individuals and neighbourhoods before taking action in the community.

Friends of Swan Creek Watershed

To promote the restoration of the Swan Creek Watershed

Re-establishing healthy aquatic and riparian ecosystems, facilitating public education and awareness of the issues affecting Swan Creek, which flows from Swan Lake to the Colquitz mainstem.

Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary

A wild oasis and rocky, oak-forested highlands in an urban landscape.

Today, the lake is shallow warm and flourishing with life despite the pollution created by urbanization of the surrounding area, consisting of 48 hectares.

Victoria Fish and Game Protective Association

Conserving fish, wildlife and habitat for generations to come.

A genuine conservationist is one who actively participates in our great outdoors and has a moral mission to conserve its fish and wildlife and their habitat. Since 1919.

Victoria Golden Rods & Reels

Fresh and saltwater fishing and social club.

Fresh and saltwater conservation projects include restoration and pollution control on O’Donnel Creek in the 1990s; Goldstream fish hatchery work, and learn-to-fish events.

A Canadian Non-profit Organization created in 1995.
