2) What does your group do?

We strive to protect and enhance the neighborhood in which we live. Represent residents from 7000 homes in our area; interact with Saanich council and staff; consult with developers and residents re applications; hold community events such as Playfair Picnic and Music in the Park (Rutledge)

3) When does your group meet? Please include board meetings.

General meetings on 4th Tuesday of January, March, May, September, November; Executive meetings 4th Tuesday of February, April, June, August, October; other meetings as required.

4) What is your geographical jurisdiction with respect to the Colquitz watershed?

Kings Pond, Blenkinsop Creek; east side of Swan Lake are in our area.

5) What projects have you accomplished with respect to the Colquitz watershed?

Clean-ups conducted at Kings Pond, participated in meetings for Friends of Blenkinsop Creek

6) What are your current projects with respect to the Colquitz watershed?

Swan Lake Nature House group will participate at 2015 Playfair Picnic; Pulling together projects in Playfair Park (part of Colquitz Watershed)

7) How can others participate in your groups’ projects? Are there any requirements?

We welcome all newcomers!

Membership dues, hot dog fundraisers, donations, some Saanich municipal funding
